For me: Hard reed feel, soft reed responsiveness

Musical Experience: Amateur clarinetist
Style of music: Church Orchestra
Hometown Metro Atlanta, GA
My history: 5+ years of playing the clarinet 'wrong' in a marching band, 10 years of not playing it at all, then I picked it up again to play in the church orchestra. I've been frustrated since then with an inability to get a pleasing dark, 'classical' sound with any reed at or below 3.5 (I over blow these), and any articulation or endurance at 4 or higher. These reeds have been a God-send. They are right in that area where, for me, they are not too hard or too soft. And as a bonus, they almost always play without any adjustment at all. For players in my situation, I recommend this reed along with an M15, B40 Lyre or other similar long-faced mouthpiece.
