Comments about Allora AAAC-304 A Clarinet:

I tried one of these inexpensive A clarinets hoping that though they are from China, that they would sound good because WWBW was selling them. Actually, customer service told me they are from Vietnam or Taiwan. I tried two clarinets. The first one sounded great! It had a wonderful warm played extremely flat. No amount of adjusting embouchure could change it. And since the parts were all the way in, no way to adjust it. It didn't even come close to playing in tune. So, I sent it back and tried another one. This one, it was still flat, not as flat as the other one though, but that's not saying much. Also, the tone was not good like the first one. I sent that one back too. If this clarinet was made of wood, you could have the barrel ground down a bit to make the instrument less flat, but since this is made of hard rubber, I have no idea if this could be done. The reason for two stars instead of one is because the first one I tried sounded great, too bad it wasn't in tune!
