OVERVIEW

A value-priced intermediate curved soprano sax.

The Allora Vienna Series Curved soprano saxophone produces a very warm and even sound. Ideal for concert band, this intermediate instrument comes in a lacquer finish. The bow and bell have decorative floral engraving. Includes gig bag. The curved soprano is a charming instrument, preferred by many players to a straight soprano for both its appearance and its greater immediacy in monitoring the sound.

A great value for schools on a budget as well as individuals looking for an affordable step-up instrument, Allora Vienna Series soprano saxophones combine features that enhance sound with others that increase durability. You'll find that the Allora Vienna saxophone is made so that it is amazingly easy to play the entire range. Key noise is minimal even at faster tempos and tone quality is excellent.

Allora Vienna Series saxophones will give performers years of service. Like every Allora instrument, the Vienna Series saxophone is subjected to an exclusive play test and a shop check before it is shipped to you. You're assured of getting a great-playing horn.

Great for an intermediate performer, the Allora Vienna saxophone is enhanced with decorative floral engraving on the bow and bell and is available in an optional silver-plated matte finish. Allora enhances the saxophone's value by accompanying your Vienna soprano sax with a soft carrying bag.

Comments about Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Curved Soprano Saxophone:

I was nervous when first buying this instrument because it is not a well known name like Selmer or Yamaha. But I'm very satisfied with this little horn. For the price it is awesome. I usually play it for fun by myself and it works great. Played in all ranges straight out of the box with stock mouthpiece and Vandoran reeds. From low Bb to high #F. I recently played it in a saxophone choir and the only thing I found was it takes some adjusting to get the high notes in tune. From high A or higher. With a little adjusting of the mouth it will work fine. I primary only use it to practice on my own, or impress people with a mini sax. It's very fun to play. Overall I'm very satisfied with the instrument and the price.

Comments about Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Curved Soprano Saxophone:

Unboxing this Sax is small 20" and light at 9.5 pounds. The Mouth piece that comes with the Sax is only good for making a sound only, but not for making music. The oem mouth piece is non functional for music. I have a Rico Metalite Soprano mouth piece and a Legere Signature series reed for a Alto sax in 2.75 strength, even though this lto sax reed is going on a Soprano mouth piece and a Soprano Sax. The Alto reed is a little wider than a Soprano reed. Really love the sound of this curved Soprano sax, it sounds great, and fingering is fast and very easy to play, this MP and reed setup makes it Sound Great!.

Disappointed, perhaps I got one that escaped quality control

Comments about Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Curved Soprano Saxophone:

After reading great reviews, I was expecting more. There were air leaks on some pads and problems with intonation. Pity, because the instrument seems to be built with good heavy material, and blue springs. But I decided to return it.

      Perfect for a Now-And-Then Horn

Comments about Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Curved Soprano Saxophone:

So, I play in a professional Jazz band. This is purely from a professional's perspective. So, my band needs a soprano every now and then, me being the only one who could take it up due my experience playing in high school. This horn produces an amazing tone, I love it. It's so warm and full. Plays in tune. Altissimo is hit very easily on the stock mouthpiece, and so is the low Bb.

Comments about Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Curved Soprano Saxophone:

I got this about 3 weeks ago. Needed a little minor tweaking but was playable out of the case. After the few leaks were addressed this little thing plays well and has a very nice tone. I am using a Yamaha 6C mpc w Legere 3.25 Ontario cut clarinet reed. Glad I gave this horn a try. Be careful, the metal does seem to be a bit softer than most horns on the market.

      Sweet little horn

Comments about Allora Vienna Series Intermediate Curved Soprano Saxophone:

I was a little skeptical buying this at first because I was not familiar with this brand. You definitely get more bang for your buck! I do have a Otto Link Metal Mouth piece size 4 on it. It's amazingly easy to play the entire range of this horn. There is very little key noise when playing at a faster tempos. The tone quality is excellent and I couldn't be happier. It's refreshing to know that those on a tight budget can still get a quality horn!
