Altieri gig bags are the best! They are super durable. It took me 20 years to wear out the last Altieri bag I bought. I used that bag on a daily basis all the way through graduate school, stuffing it with not only my flute and music but all of my college books. When I moved into my career, I continued to use it on a daily basis to haul all of my stuff to the office. The bag has also traveled with me all over the world.
This bag is very handy. It holds my flute, piccolo, tuners, clothes, pencils, tons of books... I even used it as my bookbag for awhile! One bonus is that the piccolo pouch is big. I have a funny shaped piccolo case that is very thick, and it fits it. There isn't a pouch for the flute, just a security string. I don't use it - it is kind of a pain. Perhaps if I was traveling I would use it more, for safety. The material is okay. It does seem to protect it from rain pretty well, so that is nice. I have had it for over a year. There is a little wear and tear, a small place where the material is frayed, but nothing serious. Overall, it is very helpful. No more having to carry 4 different things, this bag holds everything!
I love this bag! When I travel on short trips with my flute, there is enough room for my flute, piccolo, music, accessories (metronome, tuner, flute stand, music stand, pencils, etc.) plus my clothes. It's durable and weatherproof, overall a great bag.
Great bag. This is a big bag. I can fit my Selmer suprano sax, Alto flute and flute plus extras, music, piccolo, stand etc. My Brio Alto flute and flute by itself would not fill up the bag, and it would be too roomy. I love this bag cause I wanted something that would fit several instruments in, it is great for that.
I've had this bag for a little less than a week and I absolutely love it! It holds all of my books, Flute Accessories, and more! My Flute Professor actually owns one also, and she was happy to see that I purchased one too. Definitely worth the money for any student
