Comments about Andreas Eastman Esperto Tenor Saxophone Reeds:
I bought a box of 2.5 Venuto's for my alto and was blown away by the results - so I decided to try a box of Venuto's and a box of Esperto's on my tenor with an Otto Link 7* mouthpiece. The results were disappointing. Most of the reeds were too hard to play - they would require adjustment to be usable. But the 3 that did play were excellent - especially for soloing and playing loud. They were still too hard for playing soft below the staff. The Esperto's were more usable than the Venuto's. The Venuto's were all too hard to play. I tried adjusting some of the reeds to make them softer, but I lack the skills necessary for that.
