Produced in the famous Var region of France, Eastman Reeds are fast becoming a favorite among teachers and players for their incredible consistency and excellent value. By sourcing the raw cane stock from a historic cane plantation, Eastman is able to create clarinet and saxophone reeds that can compete side by side with the other major brands in the reed market. In addition to the French cane used, each reed is French Filed.
Two different profiles are available for players – the Venuto utilizes a traditional French cut and is a great choice for beginning students and players that utilize a short facing mouthpiece. The Esperto reeds have a variation of the same French cut and use a thicker blank which provides plenty of projection and a rich, full tone preferred by professionals and advancing players. Eastman Reeds are available for a wide range of woodwinds including: Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Soprano Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone in addition to Oboe, English Horn and Bassoon. Within each instrument family, the Venuto and Esperto reeds are available from half-strengths from 2 or 2-1/2 thru 5. This incredible consistency right out of the box has found favor among many professionals including such luminaries as Mike Vaccaro and the legendary Donald Sinta. The Woodwind & Brasswind is proud to represent Eastman Reeds for clarinet, saxophone and double reed players who are frustrated with the lack of different reed options available in the market. Once you discover the consistency and quality of Eastman Reeds where each reed is ready to play right out of the box, you’ll become a fan.
