OVERVIEW

Be free of the beltpack!

The AMT Wi-5 complete wireless microphone system is the ultimate wireless microphone for professional-grade woodwind and brass instruments. Based on AMT's Roam 1 Elite, the Wi-5 is the next generation in belt pack-free wireless technology. The Wi-5 is a multi-channel (16 selectable), belt pack-free wireless system. Special modifications have been set in place in order to acheive AMT's best setup to date. AMT has addressed all crucial issues that one would search for when shopping for a high-end instrument microphone. Common concerns such as gain before feedback, frequency response, and keeping the most accurate and natural sound possible are once again present on the Wi-5 system. The AMT Wi-5 comes complete with the microphone accented in blue and suspended in AMT Iso-ring technology, a 16-channel AMT wireless transmitter attached to the microphone, AMT's Universal Clamp, a receiver with XLR, 1/4" outputs, and a power supply.

More in name than function

My manager got one of these from an AMT rep. I do not like the way it clips to the bell, it's just big and awkward. But the most important feature, sound, was disappointing. After all the adjustments we could possibly make the Samson 77 instrument (using on saxes) system just performed better in every aspect both in small clubs, jazz fests and concerts.

Could be the best offered for saxophone

This particular model is relatively new, I use to own the older version when it first came out which was the roam 1 elite. I really liked the old model but I feel that they have made some significant improvements. I just purchased this model and tried it out once and already I can tell that I like this one much better. I will have a more detailed report in a couple of months.
