All of you that have held on to your SM57 because you believed it is the best snare drum mic on the market were correct until this bad boy hit the market. I am absolutely sold on Audix Microphones. They have really done their homework and make a very roadworthy, durable, and high performance product.

I was looking for a new snare mic to add to my sound rig when I was told to try this mic out. I went to the local music shop and tested it out. Let me tell you I love this thing!!! Unbelivable sound even before EQ. I replace all of my SM57's with I5's. I also replaced my SM58's with Audix om-5's. I suggest everyone give audix a try.
