"Giving your neck a brake"

The BG neck strap is a great neck strap for jazz players who need to play multiple hours for weddings or gigs. The comfortable leather that surrounds your neck feels very snug and soft. When you play with this neck strap the balance of weight form your neck to your shoulders is evenly distributed so you don?t have neck pains after playing for a long time. This neck strap improves your posture and will last you a very long time. I would recommend buying more then one because they neck straps like the Alexnader reeds are in major demand.

This is a wonderful product if you have broad shoulders. I'm tall and broad-shouldered for a woman, and I found that the weight of the sax still pulled on my neck, not my shoulders. I sold it to my friend, and he loves it. I would buy one again if it were sized for me.

Hello, I bought the BG Yoke strap based on what i read here for reviews and am very happy. I play in Maine almost 200 gigs a year, am fairly strong, have stamina and am used to playing long gigs but recently i have been hurting around my neck and pretty uncomfortable because of the years of gigs. I found the sax harness (which i went to before the BG yoke strap) to be too constricting especially with the versatility of it because i never could get the right positioning with my neck, mouth and mouthpiece. The harness did relieve the neck pain but because of the mentioned above it wasn't working out. I have just played my first few weeks with the BG Yoke strap and it's great ! I play alto and tenor with it and it puts the pressure across the shoulders and not so much my neck and since its more evenly dispersed across a stronger set of muscles than the neck, I have found much less discomfort by the end of the gig and am much happier. Also my air supply is better. I was starting to find that my diaphragm and airstream were being affected because i was focused on the pain in my neck. I would highly recommend this strap for people who play alot of gigs standing up for long periods of time. Good luck !

"Good product, but not for everyone"

I purchased this strap on a recommendation from a saxophone player in concert band with me and, while I like it, it does have a drawback. It does the job it claims to do and my neck and back do not hurt as badly as with my old strap. I use the strap on an almost daily basis. My biggest concern is that it is made a little big. I have to adjust it completely to the top of the neck/shoulder band, due to how big it is. I feel this is probably perfect for a man's build. However, I am a woman and, though I can make it work, anyone with a petite frame will have some troubles using this strap because it won't fit properly.
