Bach 180S43 Stradivarius Series Bb TrumpetThe popular design of the Stradivarius Series is combined with the #43 taper bell that has a slower taper to produce a brighter sound that is more brilliant and open than the standard #37 taper. The 180S43 also features a #25 standard leadpipe that offers some resistance that is effective in centering tone production. These two features combine to produce a trumpet that is well suited for jazz.

I've had my Strad for a little over two years now, and it has been a very reliable instrument; it's an LR180S-43 (reverse lead pipe, 43 bell, silver plated). My advice to someone seriously thinking about purchasing a professional level trumpet is to try as many as you can. Try different brands; Bach, Yamaha, Schilke, maybe even Conn or Stomvi; and try two or three of each model, if possible. After a couple hours of trying lots of different horns, I settled on the Bach because of the overall feel of the instrument. It felt even and smooth from low register to high, and a few particular partials were surprisingly well in tune. However, not all the Bachs I played were as good; that's why it's really important to try before you buy.
This trumpet is truly top notch. The valves move so easily it makes all other valves seem difficult to press and the slides move so easily I can't even feel them. Its tone is shocking; the whole instrument vibrates just perfectly making it bright and brilliant above the band/orchestra. When I play it, I feel like the trumpet and I are one. The silver plating makes the horn look very showy and it shines brightly. The case can fit one straight mute, cup, Harmon, and plunger, it comes with a 7c mouthpiece and two mouthpiece holes. Very sturdy case. The trumpet is quite delicate, not for a marching field, only suitable for a careful responsible high-schooler, and college on up. Do not miss this trumpet.
This trumpet is top of the line and there is none better. When I got this trumpet two years ago, I was just astonished with the tone and the clarity of the notes. This thing is the best!!! There is none better.
