My dad purchased this great horn for me a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It comes with a 6.5A mouthpiece. I recommend buying a low weight rotor oil to flush the valve. My teacher recommended Five Star. And a heavy weight to oild the outside moving parts. The lightweight slide is great and the gold brass bell produces such a warm tone. It is a great horn and I would recommend it to and High School-Proffesional Player.

This horn has worked out incredibly well for me. I was nervous to get a horn with a lightweight slide, but it has really zero impact on overall sound. This horn is perfectly open through 3 registers (E/F beneath staff being the lowest), especially for a large bore tenor. The rotor works out nicely, but can get loud (with the clicks) if not meticulously maintained. I play this trombone in the orchestral, band, and chamber music settings. It fits everywhere. I have been using the Wick 4AL with it, and it has a wonderful full, dark tone. As per drawbacks, the only thing I can think of is that the trigger can make the sound somewhat stuffy- a symptom of any rotary-style valve, because of the 90 degree change in air flow.
