The 12 helped make the lower and pedal register easier and more in tune on my 1964 Besson tuba. My middle and upper register tones are more certain and on pitch. I am extremely satisfied and, but for my advanced age, I would get a 7. Best regards! Bill Robinson
This mouthpiece is the one I started on and have finally returned to after trying numerous mouthpieces. This mouthpiece easily produces the same low range power, dynamic range, and dark sound as the Helleberg, but with the added bonus of having a super comfortable rim. I would recommend this mouthpiece to anyone.
it was my first mouthpiece. i was not sold on it then. when i came back into playing. i got back to it. now, i think it is the best all around mouthpiece out there. it is a great starter mouthpiece. and is is a good mouthpiece to you on the low and high tubas. the legendary Abe Torchinksy used it for many years as his main mouthpiece. i am sold on it.
