I recieved this mouthpiece in the mail about a week ago, I eagerly wanted to play on it. So, I did what I normaly do, put my reed on it and slip the mouth piece on my bari, but guess what, it was too skinny for my reed and I had to shove it onto the neck. Then I played on it and I couldn't play a thing on it, it seemed like an alto mouthpiece. I don't know if they sent the wrong thing, but my reciept says it was a bari mouth piece, but I don't believe it.
I bought this mouthpiece, the 0.120 version, about 12 years ago in high school. At the time I tried several brands, including Otto Link, and found this to have great sound and playability and is a great all-around sound which I used both for jazz and concert bands. I was complimented on my sound quite often at jazz festivals. As to the other reviewer saying it was narrow, I did notice this with some brands, especially with Vandoren, but it was never an issue. Since they are only available in .115 and .120, you need a softer reed, which the other review may not realize. I usually used a 2.5. For the price, I don't think you'll find a better performing all-around mouthpiece.
