I've had this piece for about a year now and have rediscovered its potential. I use Rico Jazz Select 3M (usually unfiled) and it gives me a sound everybody likes. It's really comfortable to play on due to the slightly narrow profile of the beak--compared to the way my stock rubber link and standard model bari feel. It's dark, clear, and does what I need. I don't really know anybody else that's actually playing on one, but it's my main piece now. It was reed friendly when I got it, but I sent it to Wolfe Tanninbaum so he could clean up the rails and facing. He said the left rail was a little high, but other than that it looked good. I like the weight of it. I don't play high baffle pieces because I don't like a super bright sound and I like to have something to push against when I'm playing. This will give you whatever sound you need from standards to fusion and goes great on a mic if you're playing with guitars and keyboards. You should try this piece if you like a some resistance, reed friendliness, dark tone, medium beak height, and a cool look.
