I'm using this amp to replace a Behringer KX1200. The KX1200 tends to be very boomy on the bass and very bright on the treble. The K1800FX is just as loud as the KX1200, and has a much tighter sound, i.e. less boomy and clearer across the spectrum. It is significantly smaller and lighter than the KX1200, and the metal grille is a big improvement. Straight out of the box, the tone seemed a little muffled, but I was able to easily adjust the sound to my liking with the 7-band EQ. I haven't used the effects yet, and I don't plan on using them much. I also haven't tested vocals with the amp yet, but the feedback detection system and XLR input make this a great candidate for PA duty.
Dislike: the small plastic knobs on top of the amp - they seem likely to break and they do not have enough clearance from the top of the amp. I'll have to be careful to not put anything heavy on top of the amp.
Overall, this is a terrific amp at a great price. Behringer products have been reliable for me in the past (I've only had to replace a blown speaker on the KX1200). Behringer took a long time getting this product to market, but the wait has been worth it.

To sound like that for that price it's simply amazing. Behringer did it again. Trust me, I know good sounding keyboard amp when I hear it. I heard new alesis amp, new fender amp, new baretta. They all just don't have it. Behringer 1800 simply above all of them. First of all this amp is very clean and quiet. Sound is clean in bass and highs. Plenty of power and very compact.
