I was told I needed a preamp for the best sound in recording, I noticed that I had to turn the gain knobs almost all the way down to prevent a clipping signal ....but I?ve been using it for an electric guitar into my pro tools studio. ... I think for the price it was a good choice for me....
I use my 200 for acoustic/electric. The low cut keeps the bass from rumbling my top and the phase reverse corrects mic-pizo problems. I plug the wart to switch panel on my rack and store the unit on-board so on-off switch is no problem. This is a fine little tool. Thanks, Behringer. P.S. 'Have the 100 model for warm mic pre. Both ride fine in back of rack.
