With a genuine 12AX7 preamp tube, this stompbox produces anything from warm, bluesy tube overdrive to heavy distortion tones. The 12AX7 imparts the VT999 with natural compression and rich, complex harmonics just like a tube amp. Dial in as much gain as you want with independent overdrive and master volume controls. Dial in Vintage Tube Warmth or Heavy Distortion
Thanks to the 12AX7 preamp tube, the VT999 can conjure up a wide range of overdriven tones. Lower the gain and bring up the master volume to generate warm, even-order harmonics for bluesy tube breakup. Crank the gain knob for a roaring distortion with singing sustain and controllable feedback. The separate overdrive and master volume knobs allow you to push the 12AX7 tube as hard as you want without overloading your amp.
