I am a violinist and I've owned many violin's. This Blonde Model I bought was based on the fact I bought a Natural Model 50, and I wanted to see what the blonde one was like. It was a very impressive looking color compared to the Red looking original one I had bought. It was a more natural wooden looking one, which is appealing for me. The problem was it was not varnished completely as my red one. I actually had to go and buy some beeswax conditioner and polish to get it looking correctly. I have been at it for five days using all kinds of different polish and I finally got it almost done. I like the natural color and I think it's worth it. I also had to get them to send me another because this violin's varnish was unfinished. When the other one got here the varnish was good but the violin seemed a lot cheaper and less flamed than the pictures, So this violin can be good just prepare for getting something other than the picture says. You might have to send it back, and remember I used a lot of beeswax just to get mine looking good. It was a pain but the only natural looking violin I could find. I hope this helps.
This instrument produces a nice, warm tone, even with typically harsh- sounding steel strings. It seems to be extremely loud unless you only use 25% of the bow, or if you pluck. I will recommend this instrument to anybody who wants an affordable, high- quality violin.
I was immediately impressed with the quality of the case (very durable, room for accessories and music) and the instrument sounds nice. My teacher recommended new strings but says that's typical of most student models. Overall, a great value and a good investment for a beginner- less expensive than renting for a year.
I bought this violin on the recommendation of my daughter's teacher. We have been very happy with it. The sound is beautiful, even in the hands of an 11 year old beginner.
Superb is the only thing I can say about it! I have been playing semi-professionally for about a decade and want to use my professional violin for gigs and concerts only. The student violin I have now just doesn't cut it, and upon a recommendation from a friend, looked at the Bellafina Model 50 violin. I am thoroughly impressed with the depth of sound, clarity of tone, and resonance and vibrance of these instruments! I have not seen anything of this quality for under $500 since I don't know when. They are well-made with a beautiful finish. I highly recommend these, not only for students, but for any advanced player on a budget. You will not find a violin of this kind at this price anywhere else, and I promise, you will not be disappointed, either.
This was the second violin in our home when we forst purchased it. Our first was one from Tanglewood Strings. After the usual setup, the Bellafina quickly became the first violin in our home. The quality exceeds expectations , and the sound is far better than one would expect. In the hands of a professional , this instrument would be amazing. However, it has made my amature playing even better. I could not have asked for more.
I am new to learning violin and this is my very first one. I purchased it after reading the reviews for it and I have to say I am very pleased with the product I received. I did not buy the blond version i purchased the normal finish. It arrived in the mail earlier than I expected. It looked beautiful and I couldn't wait to start learning. I went and installed the bridge and had my Mother, who has taken a few lessons, tune it for me and went straight away to start learning off a book I had purchased. The sounds were deeper than I expected on some of the strings but I found that perfect, and it helped when trying to learn because it wasn't as shrill. I am very pleased with the violin i purchased and would recommend it to anyone.
I bought the blond model. Beautiful tone and volume. I have had it for only a week and I have logged 14 hours on it. It does not disappoint. I did put an ebony tail piece on it (I have never been a fan of the plastic or composite tail pieces), which made it clearer and a bit louder, with Hellicore strings. The factory strings were not bad, but I just prefer the Hellicore strings.
The mat finish is beautiful, and it looked better than I had expected. I play many different music types and this violin is up to the job. I have 4 violins and this is my first, made in China, and it is a definite performer and well made. A+A+A+A+
