I bought this horn (from this website) back in June 2007. I received the horn a few weeks later, and I loved it the moment I saw it. I'd been playing the same Conn bell-forward baritone-euphonium since elementary school, and I wanted to splurge on a good horn while I still had some money. This horn is top notch! Smooth, quiet action, nice mellow tone, consistently on key, easy to make it sing on solos, but just as easily blended into the harmony. It took me some time to adjust to the higher amount of air needed compared to my previous horn, and the mouthpiece was larger, but now I'll never go back. I have only two minor issues: when bathing my horn the first time, I noticed that when I turn it upside down, there is a little metallic 'tink' sound. I searched throughout the bell, valves, tubes, and finally realized the sound was coming from the hand grip. Seem the person assembling the horn must have left a piece of solder wire inside by accident. Second, this horn does not have a reservoir to attach to the bottom of the valves, so by the end of playing a concert, I have condensation on the inside of the main bell tube, but it's easily cleaned (I love silver), and I've taken to keeping a cloth diaper between my lap and the horn. Bottom line: after having this horn 3+ years (2007-2010) I would recommend it to anyone who can afford it. In fact, I would recommend ANY of the Besson Euph line. Best horn ever.
