Three contrasting snare units are individually adjustable, to produce a wide dynamic range. The drum shell is constructed from maple and fitted with custom arch base tube lugs. Die-cast hoops stay in tune longer, and focus the drum's sound for projection and tone preferred by many orchestral percussionists.
