Blayman Soprano Sax PegThe Peg for Soprano Saxophone securely attaches to a Blayman base (sold separately) and holds the instrument in place. Blayman stands have been the standard of excellence since 1972. Peg Only.Blayman StandsHistoryBlayman Music, Inc., is the manufacturer of the world-renowned Blayman Musical Instrument Stands. During his tenure with the Metropolitan Opera, Mr. Blayman created the Blayman Stand to support and protect the instruments of discriminating professional musicians. These stands have been the standard of excellence now for over 30 years.Comments"I have been using a Blayman stand that holds a bass clarinet + 4 soprano clarinets. It never, never never absolutely never falls over and holds lots of things besides what I use it for. It is safe, easy to work with, allows FAST changes from one instrument to another, etc. Herb Blayman makes his bass clarinet stand to have two wings. Each wing can have a number of attachments. I have an E-flat peg and three B-flat pegs, but he also has flute pegs, oboe pegs, etc. .... So in the space of about 1 foot square, I have a bass clarinet and 4 clarinets. His stands are not cheap and they weigh a ton, but they serve the purpose for which they were designed quite nicely." -- Daniel Leeson, Former Bass Clarinetist with the San Jose Symphony Orchestra; Author, Lecturer, and Mozart scholar."I have stepped on (and snapped out of all repair) my last portable instrument peg!! I know they slip conveniently into the bell of my A clarinet, but maybe I'm willing to deal with the increased weight of a more substantial peg. Does anyone have suggestions on make/model? -- "Jeff""I bought my Blayman stand because my piccolo once slid off my lap while I was playing my flute! I like the stability of the base, the flexibility--I have pegs for an alto flute, flute, and piccolo-- and the simple, elegant design. All three of my instruments stand at exactly the same height, and the pegs unscrew easily for packing up. Every flutist who does some doubling should have one."

I have the four peg base and keep my alto flute, flute, piccolo and Selmer Series III on the soprano sax peg. It's not cheap, but is heavy, well engineered and the horns will not tip over. I highly recommend the system for serious woodwind players. joel
