I have a Blessing 3C trumpet and 7C cornet mouthpiece. They are close but not exact copies of the same-size Bach mouthpieces; the rim contours of the Blessings are a little different than the Bach models, with the Blessing 3C rim being a bit flatter than that of the Bach 3C and the Blessing 7C having a softer "bite' to the inner rim than the one on the Bach 7C. They also have less mass than the Bach models. They are very nicely finished in heavy silver plating and are flawlessly constructed throughout. They are an excellent, money-saving alternative to the Bach mouthpieces. If you need a mouthpiece in one of the common Bach sizes (1.5C, 3C, 5C, 7C, 10.5C), the Blessing models are very much worth trying out.
I've owned a few copies of Vincent Bach mouthpieces in the past, but none of them can compare to the Blessing for quality workmanship. The construction of my Blessing 3C Trumpet mouthpiece is simply flawless--perfectly symmetrical with a smooth-as-glass finish inside the cup and on the rim and exterior, the backbore is carefully machined and very smooth--better than on most Bachs I've encountered over the years. My Blessing 3C seems a little more free-blowing than the Bach 3C and delivers a livelier tone rich with harmonics. I find I prefer it to the Bach 3C. If you're in the market for a Vincent Bach mouthpiece in one of the common sizes, these are an alternative worthy of your consideration. You may discover, as I have, that these are a bit of a step up from a Bach in terms of overall quality, and at a lower price.
I was originaly playing on a Bach 5c, wanting a new one for Marching Band, and i decided to upgrade size while i was at it. SO i got a Blessing 1.5c. Its great, its great for the price. Expecialy on a tight budget. It's great, but not the greatest. Quite frankly its good for now, but i want somthing different. However this is a great Mouthpice that gives off a great sound.
