Fabulous travel companion

I was starting out a bit sardonic on my last attempt; hopefully, I successfully erased it. The drums are NOT that difficult to master and the manual is quite within the understanding of anyone who has worked with Roland/Boss recording products and is certainly far easier to wield abroad than an AKAI MPC! It is perfect for peregrinations...but that is not even the half of it. The PCM drum sample patterns are easily GREAT enough to lay down an 8-trk song demo/idea without changing the pattern: everything from jazz to heavy metal is well represented. Now let us leave the drums and talk about the incredible COSM guitar AND bass models and fx, and mastering fx and phrase sampler with time-stretching as well as two (2) front loaded, stereo condenser mics, great for those spur-of-the-moment inspirations. It is NOT delicate at all unless one compares it with a stomp box. It is my travel companion of choice and is smaller than a lap-top...much smaller and lighter. Please, at least give this piece of kit a try. You will not be disappointed. (My home studio is centered around a Roland VS 1880 and Tascam 8-trk reel-to-reel 1/2" tape recorders, if that helps you.) Yes, I keep it in its case, as I do all my guitars; that does not mean it cannot stand up to travel and great fun! Cheers! Happy recording of your inspirations! God bless.

You have to literally sit down and read the manual like a book, I've had it for one of two months or so and still I don't get the full abilities of this thing. But I will get it eventually. Comes with drum arrangements, its sweet, A LOT of effects u can use. U can also hook it up with your computer and add some Midi or FRUITyloops stuff and record that and play it over if u wish. Small hard drive though. It looks nice. But it's fragile so handle with care, always keep it inside the bag. U might want a power adapter for this. This little thing will keep u busy for weeks. I do not regret it.
