Harry Watters Signature model mouthpiece is a versatile mouthpiece similar in size to a Bach 6 1/2 AL. This mouthpiece is designed to project a solid core of sound throughout the range of the instrument, while still keeping the beautiful singing quality that lead playing demands. Harry uses this mouthpiece while playing in the Army Blues Jazz Ensemble & The US Army Brass Quintet in Washington, DC.
The Chocolatero for tenor trombone is Giddings and Webster's smallest lead jazz mouthpiece. Similar to a Bach 12, the Chocolatero produces a sound that cuts through the band, but retains a focused lead trombone tone. The Chocolatero mouthpiece features a shallow bowl shaped cup, and responds with a crisp even feel throughout the range of the trombone. Great for lead playing, this mouthpiece produces the lightest sound of all Giddings and Webster's jazz mouthpieces.
The E-1 is designed for tenor trombone players that like a wider cup, similar to a Bach 4G, with a funnel shape. With a balance of weight, rim diameter, cup depth, and throat size, this mouthpiece is home in any ensemble, and can do it all. The large cup volume is balanced with a more traditional size throat that adds in stability, core, articulation, and projection.
