Comments about Brio B3 Series Professional Flute:
I bought this flute for myself around this time last year. I chose it because I had the opportunity to play a variety of flutes and this one seemed to speak the best for me. Flutes choose their owners in a way. You can't expect to buy one for your daughter or yourself and immediately play it beautifully. I tried at least 20 different flutes before I settled on this one. It is an experiment. About the workmanship qr mine still plays beautifully a year later, though I had the low C screw fall out several times. (This can be easily fixed by a repairman!) The other thing I noticed is that since this is a silver flute, it tarnishes VERY easily. Make sure to wipe off your face and skin oils with a cloth (not a polishing cloth). I fell in love with this flute because of many reasons. One was that the keywork responds very quickly. Another was the tone. With proper support and air, it has a gorgeous tone. When I first picked it up, I ran through the full range of the flute very easily, always sounding beautiful. It is an all around wonderful flute--despite the tarnish and screw, it still plays with the same tone--the important part! Just remember, this may not be the flute for you or a son or daughter. You can always send it back!
