"Love the Brio"

Our flute choir has a donor who would like to buy us another alto. We currently have and love our Jupiter DiMedici. We had five other altos sent to us to try and compare. The consensus is that we can get the biggest sound from the Brio out of all of them. The keywork is nice and comfortable. It was set up to use comfortably with the straight head, unlike some of them that begin the keys 3-4 inches farther to the right, making it a strain on the left hand. It was very easy to articulate all notes and the notes speak easily all the way down to the lowest notes. When checked with a tuner, all notes were quite well in tune, especially on the low and middle registers. The only downside is that we are all uncomfortable with the D# roller, mostly because we are not used to it. For the record, we compared a Sonare, Pearl, Gemeinhardt, Emerson, and the Jupiter DiMedici. The diMedici has a sweeter sound with more harmonics, but the Brio has a fuller, deeper sound.
