The Buffet Prestige Eb clarinet has been one of the best instruments around for ages. I bought one used, and it was the best purchase I ever made. This instrument has a beautiful, full, and rich sound. I have no problem blending in or soaring above everyone else, as needed. The intonation of the Prestige RC is so much better than any other Eb I've ever played. Of course, you'll still find a few notes slightly out of tune, but they are much more easily managed. This insturment is definitely worth the extra money. If anything ever happened to mine, I would buy another in a heartbeat.

If I could rate something above 5 stars, I would this horn. I have played Eb clarinets since 1965, including all the major brands and this instrument is in a clsas of its own. Intonation and sound are all superior to any Eb clarinet i have ever owned, including the Buffet R13's.
In my most recent audition, the judges were impressed with both the sound ("Couldn't believe an Eb sounds that good!" ) and intonation ("wow you can really play that thing in tune."). I got the seat too!
As much as I've enoyed playinmg Eb all my life, this horn has raised that pleasure level a quantum leap.
