Good reed for high notes

This very good reed for high notes but I do not recommend it for someone who plays a lower part (Jones’s reeds are good for that). If you need high notes like if you are playing 1812 Overture it is great. I wish I could give it a 3.5.

I've been testing out all the commercial reeds for awhile to find the best reeds for my students. This is the first reed that had the right dimensions for me and played right out of the tube. I played it on a concert the day I got it and was very impressed. Every other brand of reed I've tried, I have had to work on the reed for awhile to get it playable, but with the Chartier, I didn't do a thing.
