Cole Clark Fat Lady 2 Series Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar
OVERVIEW
Great natural sound from sustainable Australian tonewoods with 3-way undersaddle pickup system.
Part of Cole Clark's Fat Lady 2 Series, this guitar is an all-solid timber dreadnought with 3-way pickup, snowflake fretboard inlays and timber binding. The top, Australian-grown American redwood, is paired with an Australian blackwood body, a Queensland maple neck with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, and Grover tuners. Comes with hardshell case.
Electronics
The Cole Clark patented pickup system is one of the most acoustic sounding pickups available, providing an authentic live amplified acoustic sound. In order to produce a more natural tone when amplified and eliminate piezo "quack", these pickups comprise different elements that only hear certain frequencies which they’re best equipped to handle. This is done using a combination of six loaded piezos under the saddle for bottom end, a face sensor that can be blended in to hear frequencies in the mid to high range (350 Hz maximum crossover) and a condenser microphone shelved to hear only extreme highs.
Unique Construction
Cole Clark steel string acoustic guitars are the only mainstream acoustic to use a Spanish heel or integral neck construction. This means the neck is glued to the face along with the sides and the back so the neck is one piece all the way to the soundhole. On other guitars, the body is made then the neck attached, mostly with a bolt or dove tail join. Due to Cole Clark's method, the sound is unique. The Cole Clark Fat Lady 2 Series Dreadnought also has a carved top and back and uses a ridge system to join the sides to the top and back instead of kerning.
Tonewoods
Cole Clark guitars are all solid timber using mostly native Australian tone woods that are largely sustainable.
