A signature model guitar with unique features at a breakthrough price.

The Dean Dave Mustaine ZERO Angel of Deth II Electric Guitar was designed by Mustaine in a collaboration with the master builders at Dean. Everything about the Dave Mustaine Zero simply works, from the stellar graphics to the right combination of woods, electronics, and style.

Unique features include a 25-1/2" scale, a modified Z-style body with sharper angles and edges, a special set mahogany "D-shaped" neck, and a headstock with in-line tuners. DMT Design pickups and the string-through body produce unbeatable sustain. The dual volume, single tone, and 3-way switch is the control configuration that Dave prefers.

Comments about Dean Dave Mustaine ZERO Angel of Deth II Electric Guitar:

This is my second Dean, to go along with my Custom 350 Floyd. I replaced an Ibanez Artist 500 EMG, with this Dave Mustaine Sig AOD2. My main purpose was the neck. The neck on the Ibanez was fat and hard to get up and down. The neck on the Dean AOD2 is my first "D" shaped neck, and it is great! I don't know if it is the Mustaine Spec on the neck or just the "D" shape, but it rocks. I was worried about the factory DMT pickups vs. the EMG 60/81 combo, I really loved the creamy sound out of the 60 in the neck. These pickups are excellent. Plenty of gain and sustain, but still clean up very well. Most passive pickups don't have a huge difference between the neck and the bridge pickup like actives, these do. No need to replace pickups for my use. I'm playing it thru a Marshall Valvestate 2000 with a 12AX7 preamp. So I can't say what it would do thru a straight solid state amp. I will be getting a small solid state practice amp soon and will up date this review. Lastly the looks are just stunning, very ominous.
