Comments about Dean Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar with Tremolo:
I probably read over a 100 reviews on brands like Ibanez,Peavy,Washburn,Epiphone,Yamaha, ect before buying this guitar. This Dean had the best reviews for its price range. Having said that, I bought this guitar for chunk - and it delivers plenty of it, but it also has a very nice clean sound and fantastic sustain. The dual humbuckers are most impressive in my humble opion. I also own a Fender Stratacaster, but this Dean has far better sound, clean or distorted. I'm so glad I bought it. I got the transparent flat black which allows the woodgrain to be seen in briter light, a look that I personnaly like and have only seen from Dean. It sounds absolutely amazing in the hands of my friends son who has been playing for about 7yrs. He also gave it two thumbs up, and was even more impressed when I told him what I paid for it. It arived already set-up and after a quick tuning; it was ready to play. It did come with a wammy-bar but I don't use it, so I can't really comment on that. I have only played my Fender once since recieving this awsome axe. There's just no comparison. And don't be fooled by the lite-weight body, this is a QUALITY product. After all, it's a Dean. I actually like the weight, I can play longer with less fatigue. Now, I've been told that it wouldn't hurt to upgrade the tone and volume pots. But I think its just fine the way it is. I mean if it's not broke why fix it.
