When I first tried these English Horn reeds I loved them, and still do. The scraping is just right. I gave it four stars because they lack in a good dynamic range(p- about f), some are better than others. I will say that the life of the Dunkel EH reeds is far longer than any other brand I've tried. Out of the two years I've been playing the English Horn, I've gone through about six Dunkels and maybe 18 or so different brands. They're great.
