This allows you to achieve thick, luscious volume swells in one smooth motion without the fear of breaking. With fully adjustable tension and high-quality low-noise electronic components, the sound is as clean and transparent as the feel is smooth. Housed in a lightweight but durable aluminum chassis, the volume pedal features a rocker pedal that is slightly curved for ergonomics, with an aggressive non-slip tread that keeps your foot firmly in place.

I wanted a passive (no batteries) pedal for simple volume swells & ambient accents in a studio setting. My other criteria was no plastic drive parts to wear or break. After much research and many web reviews I ordered the DVP1 and could not happier.
My first impression was the proverbial "built like a tank" comment. The body is made of very heavy gauge aluminum and the build quality / finish is flawless. The pedal is big, heavy, and will not scoot under foot on a smooth floor surface. Perfect for my studio needs. The tension adjustment is a great feature. You can make it so loose the pedal falls under the force of gravity. . . Or so tight you have to apply full weight to move it. That means it will allow buttery-soft volume swells or "set & forget" transitions from rhythm to lead guitar parts. I'm using it for both guitar and keyboard swells and it works flawlessly.
This is an extremely well made, basic volume pedal; perfect for studio use. On the other hand, it is big and there are more compact options if you plan to incorporate into a pedal board. Having lived with this pedal I believe it will be making guitar swells long after I am.
