Typical Begginer Horn

I played this horn for about three years and do not recomend it. It is not intended for French Horn players (which is where my experience mostly is). It is a run of the mill step up for a Bb Trumpet player to learn fast. The high registers are practically unplayable, but the lows on the other hand come out easily. It is very pitchy in the middle register, as far as that goes though, it's just an overall pitchy instrument. It is not very durable as well. I did have a problem where the lead pipe would detatch from the soldered mount after minimal force was applied. Also there was once a problem where the threads stripped out of the top of the valve casing. I would definatly recomend getting a true F Mellophone, and if you're a Bb player... save yourself the trouble and learn F, its a better key anyway. Thanks for reading my opinion.
