Comments about Epiphone EDREAD Dreadnought Hardshell Case:

I originally bought this case to house my "Inspired by Texan" Epiphone. I was looking for a case for this guitar, but I was not satisfied with how other name-brand hardshell cases seemed to fit this guitar (on paper at least; very few different models are available out here). Having already a Roy Orbison Epi 12-string that came with a custom hardshell case, I figured the EDREAD would be quite similar in quality and fit (my Texan sits snuggly in it) and ordered the EDREAD case, hoping for a similar fit and quality. The Texan fits very well in this chinese-made case(as does my Masterbilt AJ-500), snuggly but comfortably, thanks to the slighlty smaller than standard (what is standard, actually?) inside dimensions and thick lushious plush lining that is nonetheless relatiely firm. The case has golden/brass-colored hardware and can be locked with a key. The only reason I don't give a 5-star rating has to do with the fact that some of the materials look a bit flimsy, for example the textured vinyl, that shows asperities or debris underneath as bubbles (but should be quite resistant regardless), and the hinges, that could benefit from being a bit sturdier. Overall, I still find this is an excellent hardshell case, with a snug fit and resistance to shocks.
