A fabulous classic archtop almost anybody can afford!

Since it's introduction in 1949 by Gibson, the ES-175 (originally called that due to it's price tag of $175) has established itself as instrument of choice for many jazz and blues musicians. Epiphone ES-175 features a laminated Maple top with Mahogany back and sides and is equipped with 2 Alnico Classic humbuckers for the dark, rich tone. It also features a hard Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard for classic feel and Grover machine heads for outstanding tuning accuracy and stability.

It's not going to get up and walk over to your house of it's own volition. You've got to order it. Do it now!

Detailed Product Description

The Epiphone ES-175 Electric Guitar brings back one of the world's most beloved instruments. In 1949 Gibson introduced the ES-175 to enduring and well-deserved acclaim. Since it was primarily an electric guitar, it didn't need the very large dimensions of a classic archtop, but it still benefited from the full hollowbodied resonance of an archtop design enhanced by Gibson's fabulous new humbuckers. This Epiphone version has the same sumptuous vintage vibe of the original, including dual Alnico Classic humbuckers, a meticulously applied sunburst finish, split parallelogram fretboard inlays on a bound rosewood fretboard, rosewood bridge base, gold tophat knobs, and deco trapeze tailpiece.

This guitar is great. It isn't a Gibson ES-175. It's an Epiphone and there are major differences between these two products (other than an additional $2500 for the Gibson).
