OVERVIEW

Color-grading control surface with 3 high-resolution trackballs and Ethernet connectivity.

If video post is your passion, Euphonix MC Color offers deep tactile control and integration with Apple Color, REDCINE-X, Smoke for Mac, and STORM, helping you speed up your-color grading workflow through high-resolution trackballs, trackwheels, touch-sensitive encoders, and a host of programmable keys”all in a slim design.

MC Color Overview
MC Color is a color-grading control surface that attaches to your Mac through Ethernet, and features high-resolution optical trackballs, trackwheels, displays, encoders, and a host of programmable keys to speed up and enhance your workflow. The controller offers an ergonomic design and a host of features to provide deep integration and plug-and play operation with a range of leading color-grading applications, including Apple Color, REDCINE-X, Smoke for Mac, and STORM. MC Color's compact design is portable enough for on-set grading, and can be combined with other Artist Series controllers to build a larger, integrated video editing control surface.

EuCon High-Speed Connectivity”Any Application
MC Color features EUCON, a high-speed Ethernet control protocol that Apple, Autodesk, RED, and The Foundry have natively integrated into their color-correction applications. EUCON carries control information for trackballs, trackwheels, knobs, displays, and more between MC Color and whatever application you'e currently working in on your computer.

Color correction and finishing applications that support EUCON include:

¢ Apple Color
¢ REDCINE-X
¢ Smoke for Mac
¢ STORM

Multiple Apps/Workstations:
Artist Series media controllers allow you to cycle through applications and even switch between multiple workstations.

Multiple Applications:
The EUCON protocol is application-aware and automatically changes the surface controls and displays to match the application in focus”perfect for modern, multi-application workflows. For applications that support multiple œrooms, such as Apple Color, EUCON automatically updates MC Color's controls and displays”including the nine programmable soft keys”to present the controls and parameters specific to the current room. Although MC Color has been designed specifically to control color-grading applications, you can program its Soft Keys to control other applications such as Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, and more, and even use the center trackball as a mouse.

Multiple Workstations:
EUCON is a network protocol and provides switching between multiple workstations. This feature enables you to access and control any Mac running EUCON software on the extended network, with keyboard and mouse commands automatically forwarded to the selected workstation”perfect for multi-workstation workflows and facilities with machine rooms.

Comprehensive Control:
MC Color offers three high-resolution optical trackballs and trackwheels, as well as six touch-sensitive rotary encoders, to adjust multiple color parameters simultaneously. These controls automatically change their function as you navigate not only between applications, but also between the rooms in Apple Color and views in Smoke for Mac, controlling everything from color values and contrast sliders to vignette parameters, pan-and-scan position and more.

In Color, you can quickly reset parameter values that you™ve modified with the trackballs and trackwheels, using the six reset buttons. Press any encoder knob top to reset its encoder parameters. And easily view parameter names, values, and other details through six high-resolution OLED displays.

The Bank 1 and Bank 2 Keys enable you to switch assignment of the rotary encoders between different parameters, giving you even more hands-on control without your hands ever leaving the surface. MC Color also features eight Copy and Paste Grade Keys that allow you to quickly copy and paste up to four different grades from one clip to another.

Intuitive Navigation:
MC Color not only provides you with high-resolution control over grading parameters, but also enables quick navigation of Color's rooms and Secondaries and the various areas of the Smoke interface. In Color, pressing the NAV Key displays the room names across the six OLED displays, and you can jump to any room by simply pressing the top of the corresponding knob below each display. Pressing the NAV Key in conjunction with the Shift Key allows you to navigate the six Secondaries in the same way.

MC Color also features dedicated transport controls for play, stop, forward, backward, next clip, and previous clip for effortless project navigation. You can even toggle the center trackball on the fly to work as a mouse, with the reset buttons functioning as a left and right click.

Programmable Soft Keys:
MC Color features nine programmable Soft Keys that automatically change their function as you switch applications or even navigate between the various rooms in Apple Color. MC Color ships with commonly used functions for each application preprogrammed to these keys, but you can easily customize them for any function, macro, or key injection command using the onscreen Soft Key Editor. Press the Show Key at any time to instantly display the functionality of the Soft Keys for the current application and/or room

Artist Systems
The MC Control is designed to work with up to four MC Mix units and an MC Transport unit for complete audio mixing control with 36 faders. With EuCon applications, the MC Control can also be used to assign any track to any MC Mix fader and have these assignments saved for easy recall from the screen. Save a Layout for drums, one for keyboards, another for guitars, and so on, to make mixing with large number of tracks a breeze. MC Control, MC Mix and MC Transport units clip together or can be situated anywhere as each has its own Ethernet connection.
