Fender Artist Series Jeff Beck Stratocaster Electric GuitarThe Jeff Beck Stratocaster Electric Guitar from Fender's Artist Series reflects the significant changes Jeff made in his Strat to accommodate his constantly evolving style. The new neck is a softer C-shape, not as large or deep as Jeff's previous choice. Also, the guitar features the new Fender special-design dual-coil ceramic Noiseless pickups, a contoured heel for easier access to the higher registers, and straight-ahead Strat 5-way switching. Let's face it. Buying a guitar is a very personal decision. There is something about the entire purchasing experience that Fender has learned to cater to.
Let's use the Jeff Beck Strat for example. Very simply, it is one of the finest guitars out there. I have a Deluxe American Fat Strat and a American Deluxe Telecaster. This sits proudly next to these great guitars.
I don't want to put any guitar dealers out of business, but if you want to buy this guitar, order it online or direct from the dealer. Never buy the one at the store. Too many wanna-be's have handled your guitar (at $1320) and end up purchasing a Squier Starter Kit for $200.
You see, Fender is producing this guitar at a in-stock rate, meaning that dealer's orders are filled fast if they are out of stock. Since producing the guitar at a higher rate than, let say a '60's Relic, this reduces the cost to Fender.
With that said, you are getting a collector's item guitar at a great price. The best thing about this is that Jeff Beck Strat comes with the Vintage Tweed Case. Now, if Fender wanted to cut corners because the guitar was too expensive, they would give you a standard molded case worth about $40.00.
This guitar sounds and feels so good, I can't stop playing it. I am proud to own a Tweed Case that all my Fender Guitars fit in.
This is the best guitar I have ever owned. Locking tuners are tight. Sleek and fast neck. Flawless finish, frets, fretboard, and setup. Intonation is perfect everywhere. Surf green is kickin'. pups are quiet. The contoured heel is sweet. The sound is the best - all the classic strat tones but with less twang and brittle treble - a bit more mid and bite. With gain and presence high and the tone rolled off the bridge pup a bit - the sound is fierce!! - Clear but with serious crunch and punch - my old les paul would have sunk in the mud. Bend those notes with the tremolo until the strings fall through the floor and it still stays in tune. I have the 62 American vintage hot rod strat and the two compliment each other nicely - I was worried that buying another strat would be rather silly and that i would have two guitars that sound the same - but the jeff beck strat is a serious blues and rock and roll machine - worth every penny!!
