For the money, the Fender Bassman 150 is a solid value. Its super light and has a high quality assembly. The knobs are responsive and don't feel cheap. Tonal options are insane with so much range that you can dial in anything. Tonal quality is superb. Power doesn't seem to be the claimed 150 watts to my ears but the volume is solid without distortion or clipping which is more important anyway. Investigate the features of this amp and you'll find it has far more than the competition. The Bassman 150 feels and sounds refined. My only gripe is the carpet. I hate carpet but this amp was so good I had to overlook that single shortcoming. Get one, you won't be disappointed.

This amp is perfect for the gigging musician. I play jazz/funk so lugging around an electric and an upright- i dont want to lug around a huge cab. It has a spectacular tone for both instruments - especially for its price. I couldn't afford the esteemed Gallien-Ks but I am really happy with this purchase. It is not able to make a bad tone but at the deficit of being not quite as loud as i wanted for its 150w . I just spent a weekend in a recording studio and the XLR was a lifesaver. No leaving to chance the studio tech to try to EQ a tone for the bass. I just used my normal setting and got an amazing mix for the bass. The eq takes some messing around with- not quite as intuitive as the normal eq's. All around a great purchase. Kick it back and make some music.
