A unique combination of Tele style and tone with an additional Strat pickup thrown in for extra versatility.
As downhome and sophisticated as the city it's named for, the Deluxe Nashville Tele guitar comes with a Tex-Mex Stratocaster pickup in between two Tex-Mex Telecaster pickups. This array, combined with five-way Strat-o-Tone switching, makes it one of the most versatile Telecaster models Fender makes. Features include ash (Amber, Honey Blonde) or alder (Candy Apple Red, Brown Sunburst) body, maple or rosewood fingerboard with medium jumbo frets, brown shell pickguard, vintage-style tuners and vintage-style six-saddle bridge.

Because it is made in Mexico, this guitar may never be a long-term 'investment' guitar. But it is a great player, and the first axe I pick up when I want to practice. The pickup combo makes it very versatile. Though the pickups are not "hot", it pours out clean tones - particularly with a good tube amp. I added a McEwen B bender and now it covers everything country, and covers it well. Out of all the tele's I have owned, this one ranks second only to my G&L ASATs.
This guitar is the best quality to price ratio I have seen on a Telecaster. The neck is extremely high quality, with a feel as good as any American Fender I've played. This Tele has a satin finish on the neck, which I like. But it definately won't wear as well as the gloss finish on an American Tele. The pickups are as advertised and the electronics are quiet, with no popping during pickup changes or scratching with volume or tone changes. The middle pickup is wound backwards, elimnating the single coil hum when two pickup combinations are selected. The hardware is good quality also. It has a nice vintage look to it, but allows for full adjustment of acton and intonation. My one complaint is the pickguard. Although it is nice and thick, it looks cheap. I have since changed it out to a white pearloid one, and improved the overall appearance. The finish on the body is very good, but the factory pickguard detracts from that. Overall, I've owned this guitar for nearly a year and I am EXTREMELY satisfied with my purchase.
