This is a good beginner amp because it sounds good clean but if you have a distortion pedal don’t buy this because this amp can’t handle distortion or any other pedal.

I bought one as a 2nd amp to put in another room and I was really amazed at how good it sounds. Great clean sound, very good OD sound. I thought I'd have to use a pedal to get dist but that really isn't necessary. Nice and loud too, and it looks good. Cool!!

I needed an amp and had the 25R in mind. But I decided to go with a less expensive amp and grabbed the 15G, and I'm never going to need a better practice amp as long as I live. You can get just about any sound you want out of this amp, plus any volume level over 5 and its perfect for gigging, it may look kind of ridiculous but people will hear you.

I've owned this amp for about 3 years now. Even though its about the cheapest fender amp you can buy, it still has that amazing clean channel that I've used many times in a 15-20 piece big band. These 15 Watts can crank! On the distortion channel at around 4-6, it's great for any older rock, from classic stuff to punk. If you turn up the bass and up the gain to around 8, it's an amazing metal amp which CAN be heard over drums for practice. If the place your playing doesn't have a PA system to mic you, the place is (probably) small enough to just crank the amp and play. The portability is awesome. about the size of a shoe box, and light as a feather! All in all, a very versatile, portable amp.
