Comments about Fox Model II Bassoon:
I have been playing on my Fox II for about a year and absolutely love it! The projection is grand, the tone is sonorous, it speaks with ease, and the key action is fast but with a good amount of resistance for secured finger placement. Response in all registers and dynamic levels are terrific and allow me to really sing out all the time. I wouldn't trade it for the world! However the high D through E (just above middle C) does sag but that is the tendency of all Fox bassoons. This horn is worth more than it's price.
