I never thought that 175 watts would fill a room with sound as well as this amp did! Not only is this combo loud enough, but it sounds really good too! The Schecter is loaded with active EMG soapbar pickups and active EQ -- very modern sounding with lots of lows and super crisp highs. The amp was true to the bass. The Warwick, of course, growls like an angry grizzly, and simultaneously sings the subtle nuances of harmonics and softer fingerstyle notes. The amp reproduced accurately. Everyone knows the sound of a Fender Jazz... The amp sang the praises of Leo. The EQ was flat on the amp to let the sound of the instruments come out in the tone. Buy this amp! Great for active and passive! Low price tag; killer GK tone circuitry; great GK quality!

I like the sound of this amp a lot. It has a very powerful EQ section. The "B" distortion channel is so-so but there is no denying the "A" channel sounds great. Bottom endy, funk, slap, bright...it's all there. Tuner out, Direct out to PA, ground lift, active/passive switch...got it! My negatives are few about this amp. It sounds great, but to get it to REALLY come ALIVE you need an extension cabinet. The 2 x 10's just isn't enough to "move the air". I hooked it up to a G-K 410sbx and then running all 6 10 inch speakers...well...I knew I found my sound! My "wishlist" would be a better distortion circuit, a headphone out and a CD input. But that is high hopes for this $$$ amount without sacrificing something else. 4 stars without an extension cab...5 stars with an extension cab!
