I have a Buescher 400 Bari, big bell style, original case long gone. This is the first case I've found that will hold the horn without letting it bang around inside or bend keys. It's a lot easier to get into and out of the car than my hard case, and the wheels make it a lot easier to move around (I used to strap the old case to a luggage cart, and while that worked, it was often more trouble than it was worth). I really have no idea why they put the backpack straps on the bari case -- there's no practical way that would work. (Not that I'm going to try it -- back surgery limits my backpack weights to 10 pounds or less.) There's no place for a saxophone stand in any of the exterior pockets, and that's really the only complaint I have.
In general is a very convenient way to carry 2 saxophones and accessories. I use it to carry an alto, soprano, Yamaha WX-5 Wind controller , Roland XV-2020 module and accessories. I don't think I could find another bag that let me do that. Also the wheels are a plus. Mine had problems with the handle and I had to send it for repair. Is very difficult to carry it thru stairs. But is a very useful bag overall.
I own the Tenor/Soprano wheelie bag and find it absolutely excellent. I can carry Tenor,Straight soprano as well as alto and c flute. Front pocket is big enough for accessories. Both of my horns are very safe and secure in the bag and it beats the daylights out of carrying 4 horns plus stands and accessories. Now my load in is 2 very light trips. I play a conn naked lady and it does not fit well in all cases. Very happy with this!
I've now had my baritone sax case for two years. I wouldn't give it up for any other knid of case.
Ok, like many sax players, i've been looking for a case that can hold both my tenor and alto so i wouldn't have to lug around two cases everywhere i go holding my music in my mouth; ultimately resulting in me dropping my music and everything flying everywhere! even though it says "tenor and soprano", my alto fits great. i must say that at first i was a little worried about how my saxes were going to fit and how safe they would be, but after mine arrived, i wasn't dissappointed at all. i found out that i could move the padding around to create a custom fit for both my tenor and alto. there is a nice big-deep pocket on both sides that i use to hold my neck strap, reeds, mouthpieces, tuner, cork grease, and swabs; and a good size pocket on the front that holds my necks perfectly. being able to roll it around saves a lot of time and effort too. i have to admit, i am very guilty of spoiling my saxes by buying pointless things i would never use, and i really thought this case would be one of those "splurges", but in all honesty, all jokes aside, this case is really great and a very practical buy for any musician that's tired of getting their work-out by lugging around their instruments.
After waiting for several months I was disappointed with the bari wheelie bag. While this is a great idea, a few design flaws prevent this from being a 5 star product. The wheel base is too narrow, causing the instrument to tip on uneven surfaces and when turning corners. Handles are not designed/located in convenient spots for loading into car trunks or carrying up stairs. The back pack arrangement requires a great deal of bravery as well as strength, all in all not a useable feature. Also the bottom of the backpack straps have a tendency to get under the wheels.
My wife surprised me with a doubler's bag for my tenor and alto saxes. It's been such a blessing. No longer do my fingers cramp from trying to carry multiple cases. And I no longer have to fumble trying to get through doors; the case just trails behind me.
I finally received my Allora Double Sax Wheelie Bag. Would it be possible to give this bag 7 Stars, instead of just 5? I loaded everything in it that I needed to carry with my horns, and more. I can carry it on my back, roll it, or carry it like a suite case. It even has it's own rain coat to protect it from getting wet. I'm very impressed with this product. It was worth the wait. It looks durable, and should last a long time if taken care of properly.
I absolutely love this product! I walk to school everyday from my house to school(which is 10 minutes walking distance)and I had to carry my heavy saxophone case to school every day! Now I can just roll to school! Over all I absolutely love this product!
Very good case. Only one I've found that holds both alto and curved soprano. Well padded and solid. I like the adjustable pads for custom fit. Would be great if it had one pocket large enough to hold music or stands.
