I love my piccolo! What more is there to say. In my school's pep band, all of the piccolos are 4PSH's. They work great in both concert and outside settings. You can get every possible note out on the piccolo and it keeps pitch very well. And for what you pay it is a great deal, plus it's low maintenance because it's plastic and silver. Absolutely amazing!

I recommend this model piccolo to my students because of its ease in playing and durability in the band setting. The solid silver headjoint makes it sound beautiful while the plastic body makes it easier to hold and more durable than an all metal piccolo. I noticed the embochure cut is different than they used to make them 17 years ago, making it even easier for students to play the high register. Like most student model piccolos, it has a bright "marching band" sound to it.

I got my piccolo 2 years a go in the 8th grade. I have had no problems with my piccolo. I recommend this piccolo to any one playing in a high school setting because you can keep it in tune very easily. Also you can play the piccolo very loud in marching band but also play it very quite in concert band. My band is only 53 members and we have 7 flutes and one piccolo me so I have to make sure that I play p, pp, and ppp more than most instruments. In marching band our band director likes for us to play very loud so that we sound bigger than what we are. He still asks me to come down some time because I am over powering 13 trumpets. Playing dynamics is very easy to play and also play in tune. so I definitely recommend this piccolo.

I've had this piccolo for over two months now and I love it. I'm still working on the intonation, but once I get it in tune, it works very well. I have a little trouble getting the high B flat -- B flat six -- to speak. I had the piccolo player at my school try it and even he said that it was difficult to get out. Also, this piccolo is unnaturally loud. Even for a piccolo. But that aside, it's got a nice tone, every note below high B flat sounds great, and it's got a clear bright sound. This is a very good piccolo that I would recommend to anyone looking for a good sound and a great price.

The gemeinhardt 4psh is a fabulous piccolo made with a solid silver headjoint for power and a composite body for a warm and rich sound,a great piccolo for marching and concert swiftly moving from high note to low notes in a flash and I am very fortunate to be using this piccolo, because both my teacher and as well as my friends enjoy the sound of this great instrument and even though I mess up a few times a day I'm glad to be using this piccolo due to the reliability, power for marching, and the superb warmth of the tone.I thank the Gemeinhardt company for creating this piccolo flute of great craftsmenship and most importantly satisfying the piccoloist.
