Comments about Giardinelli Bb Clarinet Handkerchief Swab:

These swabs are very effective, durable as a daily means of swabbing away moisture that could rot pads in the clarinet. I bought 6 of them to give to my beginning students who wanted to purchase them.

Too big for Buffet R13 bore

Comments about Giardinelli Bb Clarinet Handkerchief Swab:

The swab seems to be well made and the cord is long enough to easily pass all the way through the instrument. The problem is that the swab is too large (14.5-inch square) to be pulled through the bore of my Buffet R13. It gets stuck, even in the bottom joint. My old Buffet swab is 11 inches on each side and goes nicely through the instrument. The Giardinelli swab has too much fabric. I am going to cut some off and re-sew the edges so it will not get stuck.

Comments about Giardinelli Bb Clarinet Handkerchief Swab:

This is great for students who just need to throw the swab in the wash when they need to clean it. It's cotton so it doesn't shrink and it doesn't run. I liked this swab and only stopped using it because I eventually DID lose it in the wash, got a replacement, then it showed up again so now I have a spare. DRAWBACK: after so much washing and drying the surged (stitched) edges become a little ragged and on the corners the thread starts coming loose
