A fantastic value for an intermediate flute, the GFL512 is an open-hole French model featuring an ergonomic offset G key for less playing stress and greater familiarity to players just graduating from a student model flute. The offset G makes playing fast passages easier and also makes it easier to cover the open hole with a finger.
The flute's solid silver headjoint produces a warm, resonant tone with clean, precise response. The gold-plated lip plate is hypoallergenic, feels nicer than silver, and provides a very luxurious look. The Giardinelli GFL512 flute has a silver-plated body and foot joint that are visually stunning and durable, maintaining precision alignment of the keys. A low B footjoint increases the flute's low range and improves intonation in the upper register. The GFL512 flute's gizmo key makes it easier to play a high C.
