Gibson Faded Flying V
The Gibson Faded Flying V was born to rock. When the original V came out in '58, it was ahead of its time. When it was reissued 9 years later, it became a favorite of progressive rockers and still is to this day. This Faded Flying V has all the features and specs of the '67 model and the look of a guitar that has been loved and cared for since those early days.

This guitar is the best bang for your buck guitar that I've seen in years. USA made, GIBSON quality for about half the price you'd expect. These pickups are AMAZING, the same ones they use in models for 3x the price. Bottom line: sometimes you get MORE than you pay for!

What a deal. You're getting an American made Gibson guitar for under $600! The cheapest American made Fender you can get is their Highway one series guitar, which also comes with the faded look "satin" finish. If you're all about a guitar's finish, then go ahead, spend a huge chunk of change and get something that looks "pretty". But if you're all about feel and tone, with the bonuses of Gibson craftsmanship, then this guitar is for you. It flat out WAILS through the 496/500's! (Which happens to be the hottest pickup Gibson puts out, as well as the EXACT same pickups found in the standard V's that are around $500 more expensive) So it's kind of a trick to play sitting down...oh well. For the regular gigging musician, this guitar is great, because it's not like lugging a Les Paul around all night, four sets with this baby and your back is still good as new. The all mahogany body is SUPER light. I would recommend some Schaller strap locks, because with the strap button on the back of the guitar, it makes it lean forward just a hair which might make the strap want to slip off, but that's pretty rare. Stays in tune like a dream, sounds like a guitar you'd hear from the late 60's/70's. Over all, it is just a great investment. $600 is a small price to pay to own some rock n' roll history.

Over the years I have owned many guitars Gibson les Paul that I bought new in 1982.1970 Fender Stratocaster and Kramer guitars. This Gibson is no less of a guitar as the classic guitars I have had over the years. I only wished that I had picked up one of these years ago. The tone that comes out of this guitar is incredible. From clean to screaming wild, it?s also a comfortable guitar to play. That the reason I never bought one before I thought it was an uncomfortable guitar that had no clean tone, boy was I wrong. And the price and service from Woodwind&Brasswind. I don?t know how they did it but you better get your before they are all gone. Wish I could buy ten of them they are not going to stay this price long. And I really like the red stain with a clear coat finish, I am sure it will age very well as Gibson?s do.
