Gibson Melody Maker Electric Guitar
Resurrecting one of the most popular electric guitars in Gibson's history, the Melody Maker is an accurate, affordable re-creation of the original Melody Makers of the late 1950s.

Originally introduced as a student model, much like the Les Paul Junior, the Melody Maker became a player's favorite for its light weight, comfortable neck, and great tone.

Today's Melody Maker Les Paul guitar is no exception. With a period-correct pickguard housing a special design singlecoil pickup, a vintage-style wraparound tailpiece, rounded neck profile, and slim, light body, the Melody Maker is an unbelievable value for players of all ages, styles, and skill levels.

This is a really good reissue. The p.u. is powerful and the neck and fret work are USA all the way. Better than any import Epiphone. Quite a surprise in tuning and musicality. Excellent slide guitar or for open "Richards' tunings. Fun Fun Fun!!!

"Rediscovering an old friend!"

I owned a pre-owned MM in the mid 60's and eventually traded 'up' for an LP. I had always regretted the trade but didn't seek another for years. When I saw this MM in a local store I stood there mesmerized as I looked upon an old lost friend. Gibson did a great job on this re-issue! Tone and playability are exactly as I remembered and OMG it did bring back a lot of incredible memories! As a music instrument, worth every cent and then some. Sentimental value though? PRICELESS!!! THANKS GIBSON!!!

Nice look and sound. Fun & worth the $ for the single pickup rock sound.

349.00 Monster; I had an original, powder metallic blue, Melody Maker in 1966. This guitar plays great, after some minor set-up. The most phenomenal thing is, the single coil pick-up seems to be way more powerful than my original....But that could be attenuated by the Marshall. I feel this is one of the best values in a guitar that I may have ever gotten, I paid 199.00 for the original in 1966, and we owned the music store... that would equate to about 700.00 today with inflation. I find myself gigging with it all the time, and I own over 40 guitars...This thing is just plain fun.
