Very comfortable accessory. I would consider a must for any Gibson owner. You will definitely feel spoiled if you've been using a cheap nylon strap. I have no idea why the manufacturer cut slits in the leather though. I guess they don't use their own products. Make sure you look at strap locks if you're considering this item. Now you understand the remark about the slits and why this product only gets four stars from me. This strap arrived with just the right stiffness ... pliable but not floppy. It's a cleverly adjustable two piece rig with zero metal parts to scratch up your axe. Easily reloop the 'tailpiece belt' through the 'shoulder strap' for a very clean and comfortable setup. The way I have mine threaded would work for anyone standing between 5'8" and 6'4".
